Updated Code of Conduct

SurDel Girls Soccer has updated its Code of Conduct for the club. Please familiarize yourself with the document as all players, parents and coaches will be asked to sign a copy at the beginning of each season – fall and spring.
More information will be presented to coaches on coaches night in September.

Players Code of Conduct

  • Conduct yourself in the best interests of Surdel Girls Soccer Club (SGSC). Support the Club and its activities. Follow this Code of Conduct.
  • Work hard, practice and play with enthusiasm and with a commitment to improve your skills and the performance of the team.
  • Arrive on time for practices, games and team events, properly equipped and appropriately dressed for weather conditions.
  • Provide adequate notice to the coach when you will be unable to attend or late.
  • Play by the rules. Never argue with the referee's decisions. Let your coach ask any necessary questions.
  • Participate for your own enjoyment and benefit, not just to please parents and coaches.
  • Control your temper - no mouthing off or use of foul language at any time.
  • Be a good sport. Refrain from unsportsmanlike behavior or dangerous play. Cheer all good plays, whether made by your team or the opponent.
  • Co-operate with your coach, teammates and opponents. Be attentive at all games and practices.
  • Respect the rights, dignity and self-esteem of fellow athletes regardless of body type, athletic ability, gender, cultural or ethnic origin, age,
          religion, disability, sexual orientation or economic status.
  • Refrain from behavior in any form that constitutes harassment* or bullying, on or away from the soccer field.
  • Abstain from the use of alcohol, illegal substances and performance enhancing drugs.
  • Refrain from criticism of the Club, coaches, referees other players or opponents on or away from the soccer field.
  • Report any concerns you may have to the coach or a Club official in private.
